Milwaukee Health Department: Stamped mattresses

With infants deaths due to co-sleeping on the rise in Milwaukee, Serve Marketing launched an aggressive campaign to urge parents to stop sharing a bed with their infants. This time taking their message to the streets, placing dozens of mattresses stamped with blaze orange babies and provocative messages at busy inner city intersections. One headline reads, “Babies that sleep here don’t always wake up.” Another asks to “Imagine how many more babies would still be alive if they hadn’t slept here.” So far this year, 10 babies have died in unsafe sleep conditions in Milwaukee. The campaign, is part of a larger effort by the City of Milwaukee Health Department to promote safe sleeping habits for parents with small children.

Subway

This Japanese Subway sandwich shop is really bringing fresh fast food to the table. They’ve started growing hydroponic lettuce right in the middle of the store – talk about local ingredients! In order to make this truly sustainable, they’d have to start growing all of their veggies in-house, but for now, this is a great start. Not only is this hyper-local lettuce healthy, it’s a great visual centerpiece for the space.

For a few month now I’ve been checkin’ out the serie, the Wire. This is one of the best serie’s ever made (next to the Sopranos & Lost). The cool thing about the Wire is that there is no particular lead caracter. I think this caracter right here called Omar is my favourite. 100% swagga.
